"Magistrates - their role in the criminal justice system". A presentation by Julia Steels JP to be followed by a short video on sentencing and an opportunity for us to work in groups to consider a typical court case scenario and deliver our agreed ‘verdict’. February 10th “The alchemy of felt" After a talk on this fascinating subject by Kathie Barrs we will have the opportunity to put it into practice to create our own felted soaps. [members are requested to bring a bar of soap, a small towel and a little plastic bag to take your handiwork home.] March 10th AGM and buffet combined with one of our fun activities (remember last year’s Beetle Drive?!) April 14th “Wonderful Willow” Brigit Graham will tell us how she started in this craft and what is involved in growing willow before providing a demonstration. May 12th “Fused glass in a microwave” Who isn’t intrigued by that concept! Ralph Barber of Westhide Glass will be sharing how we can be very creative in our kitchens. June 9th “Being a toastmaster and speaking with confidence” Sue Hollingshead is sure to capture our interest in what will be an enthralling presentation. |
July 14th Summer social - a much anticipated annual event. August 11th Holistic Therapies Heidi Caldicott will guide us through these therapies for relaxation and healing – just what we all need! September 8th “How you can bring Colour & Style to everyday” Lisa Fisher will help us develop our personal flair and embrace colour. A night to wear something you love that makes you feel happy! October 13th A wine lover’s tour of France. Brian Joy of the Herefordshire Fine Wine Society is back to talk us through wines from his favourite country. November 10th "The benefits of house plants and an introduction to macramé" Stef Sparkes from the fabulous shop Löv Leaf - winner of the 2023 Herefordshire Business Awards Retailer of the Year title – will help us find the right plants for our indoor spaces and demonstrate an old craft that is now very much back in fashion. December 8th After all the fun of last year’s wall hanging we’ll be doing more Christmas crafting with a party to follow. |
